I've been very quiet.
A severe case of the rainy day blues.
It rained almost every day in February.
The gloom rolled into March.
The good news...
It looks like our rainy season is coming to an end.
As you know, working alone from home gets lonely, especially when the weather sucks.
Sure I do a lot of Zoom calls with clients, but it's not the same as throwing down a few beers with my buddies.
A couple of weeks ago, I started randomly reaching out to friends and clients.
I called their cell phone without texting or scheduling the call.
Crazy, I know.
By the way, why do we feel like we need to schedule calls with our besties?
I had no hidden agenda.
I just wanted to say hello.
Talking with friends and clients was very energizing.
Lots of stories and great impromptu conversation.
It snapped me out of my funk.
And, I picked up five new projects and two huge speaking engagements.
Remember the old AT&T commercial?
"Reach out and touch somebody"

P.S. Speaking about reaching out, Susan RoAne is our guest speaker on the next Mastermind Book Club call. Susan will be telling lots of stories from her best-selling book, How to Work a Room.
