A novel approach to networking, blog article written by Ted Prodromou

People struggle with networking online.

By the way, I do not consider this LinkedIn message networking.

Hey I know you probably get pitched a 1,703,637 times per day, but I wanted to reach out. I've been helping business owners in your field get 5-15 new high ticket clients per month without using paid ads, and I think my system would work well for you too. If it doesn't work you don't pay anything and I'll send you $3,000 for wasting your time. You open to chat?

Here's an idea.

Attend a local, in-person networking event.

Practice casual conversations.

Don't try to meet everyone on your first visit.

Focus on getting to know 2-3 people.

Get to know them beyond "What do you do?"

Be curious.

Ask questions and listen.

I mean really listen to what they are saying.

Connect with them on LinkedIn after the meeting.

It was great meeting you at (EVENT NAME). I enjoyed hearing about (STORY THEY TOLD).

If you ever have any questions about (YOUR EXPERTISE), feel free to reach out anytime.

Watch them on LinkedIn and engage with their content.

Send them a message in a few months to check-in.

Try it and let me know how it goes.
