Once you write an article for LinkedIn, you want to get that article in front of as many eyeballs as you can.

Just posting the article on LinkedIn isn't enough these days. With recent changes to LinkedIn, not all of your connections and followers maybe notified that you published a new article or they may just miss the notification.

One you publish the article, grab the article URL and post it as a Status Update and Tweet it. Spread the word on all of your social media channels and ask people to share your article.
