I've been busy with some projects and now it's time to get back to work on getting my site listed on the [tag-ice]first page of Google[/tag-ice]. One of the best ways to get listed high in Google is to build a ton of links from reputuable websites. The best sites to get links from are [tag-tec]high page rank (PR) websites[/tag-tec]. [tag-ice]Page rank[/tag-ice] is how Google rates the quality of every page on your website.
To see what your Page Rank is, download the [tag-tec]Google Toolbar at toolbar.google.com[/tag-tec]. One of the displays on the toolbar tells you the rating Google has given your webpage. Remember every page on your website has a page rank rating. Your goal is to get links from websites with very high page ranks.
It doesn't help if you add a bunch of links on your website to other websites. In the past people did recipricol linking where they exchanged links. I'll put a link to your site on my website if you put a link to my website on your site. This was an easy way to build links but Google doesn't give reciprocol linking much consideration these days. They are looking for one way links from high page rank sites. If a high page rank site puts your link on their page, Google considers your website as a quality website.
