Facebook is at it again.

In 2018, Facebook was caught selling our personal data to Cambridge Analytica, a data analysis firm.

It’s hard to say who is more evil and manipulative, Facebook or Cambridge Analytica.

If you’re not familiar with the scandal, Facebook collects massive amounts of data about us every day.

Cambridge Analytica used our personal data against ourselves (Facebook clearly does too).

When you’re on Facebook, you see content in your newsfeed.

That content is not there by accident or coincidence.

The Facebook algorithm puts content in your newsfeed that triggers your emotions.

The more polarizing the content, the more you will read.

The longer you stay on Facebook, the more ads you see and the more money Facebook makes.

Cambridge Analytica took it to another level.

They leveraged content on Facebook to influence eight elections around the world.

Ever wonder why Brexit passed?

Cambridge Analytica identified thousands of people they profiled as being easily influenced based on their Facebook activity.

Cambridge Analytica placed content in their newsfeed that polarized and influenced these people.

After the Brexit vote, many of these people had no idea what they voted for. They had no idea they supported the UK leaving the EU.

Last night on 60 Minutes, a former Facebook employee turned whistleblower, shared internal research studies from Facebook.

Facebook knows it is influencing our behavior and beliefs.

Facebook knows they’re polarizing our society and dividing our country.

Facebook knows Instagram is negatively affecting teenage girls.

Facebook and Instagram are designed to addict us.

How many times a day do you pick up your phone and check your social media accounts?

How do you feel after scrolling through polarizing posts on Facebook?

I’m seeing a lot of posts from pissed off people on Facebook these days.

Our country is more divided than ever and Facebook is pouring gasoline on the fire.

They could tweak the algorithms so we see positive content.

But they choose to fuel the fire so they make more money.

How long will we put up with this?

When will we delete our Facebook and Instagram accounts?

I’d love to hear what you think. Reply in the comments below and let me know.
