Yesterday, Meta, aka Facebook announced you can now create four, count them, four profiles.

Here's the announcement in case you missed it.

Now I can have one profile for my vacations, one family profile, one personal profile and one profile to follow my favorite sports teams.

The idea is each profile will have focused content so you don't have to wade through your friends vacation photos when you're looking for updates from your favorite sports teams.

Now I can organize my Facebook friends in different buckets based on my focused profile.

Is that really a problem?

Sounds like Zuck was bored and needed to keep his developers busy.

If I set up four personal accounts, I will also have my business Facebook page to manage, my business and personal Instagram profiles, and my WhatsApp account.

To be honest, I don't spend a lot of time on Facebook.

I use it to keep in touch with friends and family.

I rarely post on Facebook and Instagram.

Maybe a few vacation photos now and then.

I used to be more active when I wanted to see how many Likes I could get.

That buzz wore off a long time ago.

I do post my daily emails on my Facebook page at

I used to automatically post excerpts from my books using Sendible, but some of the posts were outdated to I turned them off.

That reminds me I need to run off my automated Instagram posts to because they need a refresh too.

I know I could pick up more clients if I spent more time marketing on Facebook but I get better clients from referrals and LinkedIn.

I'd love to hear how you're going use your new Facebook profiles.

Do you think this is a game-changer?
