There’s an ongoing debate about how often you should email your list.
I used to send an email once a week or once every other week.
Sometimes once a month.
Definitely not on a consistent basis.
Most of my clients fit into the same pattern of emailing once in a while with no definite purpose.
Last year I joined Copy Chief (highly recommended if you want to become a better copywriter, writer and marketer).
I started following email marketing gurus like Laura Belgray, Chris Orzechowski, Kevin Rogers and many other copywriting gurus.
Over the past two years I’ve been honing my copywriting and email marketing skills.
But I still didn’t send emails on a consistent basis.
A few months ago, something clicked and I became addicted to writing every day.
I think it started when Laura Belgray introduced me to www.750words.com.
It’s another form of gamification which I’ve been raving about recently.
Gamification keeps us engaged and coming back for more, even if it’s as silly as badge for completing three consecutive days on my Peloton.
Thanks to www.750words.com I now I have a habit where I NEED to write every day or I feel like I let myself down.
As you’ve noticed, I’ve been emailing you at least five times a week for the past three months.
The first nine months of 2020 has been very good to me business-wise.
Around a 10% increase over 2019 which I was very pleased with given we’re in the middle of a global pandemic.
Since I started emailing every weekday…
Business is up over 50%.
So how often should you email your list?
It doesn’t matter if you email once a week or every day.
But all marketing experts recommend keeping your name in front of your audience at least once a week and do it EVERY week.
Figure out which form of gamification keeps you motivated so you NEED to communicate with your audience on a regular basis.
