I usually ignore cold email pitches but this one caught my attention.
Hey Ted,
I’ve stumbled upon your YT and it was so interesting in minute 3:10 of your latest video, when you talked about how you can notify different people in your network.
Have you ever thought about turning your videos into short-form content?
Now I could tell you about our pitch, but the easiest thing would be is to try it yourself
Would you be interested in some content samples where my team and I create 3 videos for you without charge?
Just send back a video link/file, and we’ll start creating.
What do you think?
Cheers,
Marianna
What caught my attention?
First, I felt like she really did watch one of my YouTube videos by pointing out a specific moment.
At this point, I was expecting her to start her hard pitch.
Instead of rolling into a hard pitch, she lowered my guard.
She offered to create three videos without charge.
This kept me reading.
To me, this is an irresistible offer.
She makes it easy for me to try her service.
I like her honesty and respect for my time by not hard-pitching me from the get-go.
Try before you buy.
I would gladly pay her to create more videos if she does a great job.
I have nothing to lose.
Would you take her up on her offer?
Ted
