Is Costco your next business coach? In some ways it may be.

A recent article in Costco Connections magazine shared some tips if you're thinking about starting your own business.

1. Is there a demand for your product or service? Many people start a business based on their passion and don't check to see if there are customers willing to pay you.
2. Create a business plan. Most small business owners fail to do this.
3. Fund your business. Every day people ask for my help but they have no money to spend on marketing.
4. Location, location, location. Where is the best location for your business? If you sell donuts, you need to be on the side of the road where people are commuting TO work.
