People always ask me “What do I do with all of my invitations to connect on LinkedIn?”

I like to sort through my LinkedIn invitations to see if they are a fit for my network.

I ask myself:
1. Are they a potential client?
2. Are they a potential referral partner?
3. Are they a potential business partner?
4. Will they provide value to my business and/or network?

I ignore most invitations from offshore developers and online marketers (no offense, but you usually spam with with self-promotions)

I accept most invitations unless their profile is bare or they have an offensive professional headline or summary.
