The new LinkedIn messaging system is great but they removed one feature that I used every day. In the old messaging system I could go to the Invitations folder to see new invitations. Once I accepted an invitation, LinkedIn prompted me to Start a Conversation with my new connection. I sent a welcome message that received a reply 38% of the time!

In the new messaging system the Invitation folder has been removed so I had to get creative to send a welcome message after connecting with people.

Here's a short video showing my workaround.
